A legitimate listing explains the work, employer, location, and application process clearly enough for you to make an informed decision. Treat urgency and unusually high pay as reasons to verify more carefully, not reasons to move faster.

Verify the employer

Search for the employer's official website and confirm that its name, address, and contact information are consistent. When possible, find the opening on the employer's own careers page. Staffing firms should identify themselves and explain whether they or the client company will employ you.

Examine the application destination

Check the domain before entering personal information. A familiar job platform may legitimately redirect to an employer's applicant-tracking system, but unrelated domains, misspelled company names, and requests to continue only through encrypted messaging apps deserve caution.

Understand the compensation

Determine whether the displayed number is hourly, annual, per shift, per project, or an estimate produced by a job platform. Ask whether tips, bonuses, commissions, unpaid travel, or equipment expenses are included.

Warning signs

JoinShift aggregates selected public listings and sends applicants to the source application destination. Always review that destination before submitting sensitive information.

Search current job listings.
