Shift for Workers in Hands-On Industries

How Shift works

Wear a headset, record your everyday work, and earn up to $20/hr with Shift.

Shift contributors who work in hands-on industries

If you already do physical work for a business, you can earn up to $20 per hour for footage with Shift.

If that describes your job, Shift may provide another way to earn from work already happening during the day. Shift pays up to $20 per hour for footage.

Hands-on industries

Shift works with cleaning, construction, repairs, maintenance, landscaping, agriculture, automotive, electronics repair, retail operations, and food-service businesses.

Your title does not settle the question. Two people called “technician” may do completely different work. The application asks about the tasks you perform and the setting where they happen.

Permission comes before recording

Employees need authorization from the business. Do not assume that working somewhere gives you the right to record it.

Before participating, identify who can approve recording and clarify:

If the business wants several employees involved, ask the owner or manager to apply as a business.

How payment works

Shift pays up to $20 per hour for footage. Shift does not guarantee that a minimum number of hours will be offered.

Apply with accurate information

Use the application to describe what you do today. Do not claim experience, employer permission, or access you do not have.

If you already work in a hands-on business, sign up for Shift.
