At work or outdoors: $20 per accepted hour
Eligible workplace, job-site, and outdoor footage pays $20 for every accepted hour. This includes approved hands-on activities across fields such as cleaning, food service, construction, landscaping, repairs, automotive work, electronics repair, agriculture, maintenance, and retail operations.
Employees must receive permission to record. Safety, customer privacy, coworker privacy, and confidential information always come first.
Shift's advantage is the best of both worlds: record eligible tasks at home when convenience matters, or receive the higher rate when eligible work happens in a real-world professional environment.
How Sensei Robotics works
Sensei Robotics asks contributors to choose an everyday chore, mount their phone, record themselves completing it naturally, and submit the video for payment.
Its public examples include folding laundry, washing dishes, organizing shelves, cleaning, sorting, and tidying. Sensei says there is no fixed schedule, the program is free to join, and earnings can be deposited into a contributor's bank account.
Sensei does not publish one standard hourly or per-video earning rate on its main contributor page. Anyone evaluating the program should confirm the current task prices, approval standards, available recording volume, and payout terms before beginning.
How clearly is pay stated?
For home chores alone, the comparison depends on the task prices Sensei offers to an approved contributor. Its public website does not provide one rate that can be calculated directly against Shift's $10 accepted-hour home rate.
Shift publishes an additional path that Sensei's household-focused page does not: $20 for every accepted hour of eligible workplace, job-site, and outdoor footage.
That matters for contributors who already clean professionally, repair equipment, cook in a commercial kitchen, maintain properties, work in a trade, service vehicles, landscape outdoors, or complete other eligible hands-on work.
Which one is the better fit?
Sensei may fit someone who is focused specifically on recording household chores through a mobile task program.
Shift may be the better fit when a contributor wants published accepted-hour rates and the freedom to earn from both eligible home activities and real-world work. The home track provides flexibility, while the workplace and outdoor track pays twice the at-home rate.
