How Alignerr works

Approved contributors complete contract and payment setup and receive access to project tools. Alignerr says Labelbox is used for many projects to label, rate, create, and align data for AI models.
The platform can be a logical fit for someone whose strongest qualifications are academic, technical, linguistic, or professional. A legal expert might review reasoning in their field, while a coding or machine-learning expert might evaluate technical model output.
How Shift differs
Shift is not built around resumes, written prompts, or remote response evaluation. It captures expertise expressed through action.
Examples include how an electrician approaches an installation, how an automotive technician diagnoses a problem, how a commercial cleaner sequences a job, or how a maintenance worker handles tools and equipment. These are forms of knowledge that can be difficult to reduce to written instructions.
Eligible contributors use Shift's recording equipment while performing everyday work in an approved business setting. Shift does not accept household tasks performed inside private homes.
Shift pays up to $20/hour for footage. Applicants should not assume acceptance, available recording time, or a fixed earnings amount. Workplace authorization, privacy, confidentiality, and safety requirements always apply.
Which platform is the better fit?
Alignerr may fit if your strongest asset is deep subject knowledge that can be applied to computer-based AI evaluation. Its individual job listings should be checked carefully because qualifications and advertised rates differ substantially.
Shift may fit if your strongest expertise is physical: building, repairing, cleaning, maintaining, installing, preparing, operating, or servicing things in an eligible business.
The platforms are not direct substitutes. Alignerr asks, “Can your expertise improve this model response or dataset?” Shift asks, “Can authorized footage show how this real work is performed?”
